Stephanie grew up on a beef cattle property and is a registered dairy cattle veterinarian. She completed her undergraduate studies at Charles Sturt University and worked in private veterinary practice in Maffra, Victoria for 5 years, during which time completed a Residency in Dairy Cattle Medicine and Master degrees in Veterinary Clinical Studies (Dairy) and Veterinary Science (Dairy). She then worked in milk processing for Murray Goulburn Co-Operative/Saputo Dairy Australia for 3.5 years in on-farm Quality Assurance as a Milk Quality Specialist. Most recently, Stephanie works in the Research and Innovation team at Dairy Australia where she is the National Lead – Animal Health & Welfare. She oversees national Research, Development and Extension programs in dairy animal health, welfare, fertility and reproduction, antimicrobial stewardship, animal breeding and genetics and milk quality.
